there is a sharp pain in my toe knuckles. it feels like i have to crack them, but when i do the pain doesn't go away. what could it be?

Early arthritis?: Sharp pains in the toes at your age would seem out of the ordinary.  The feeling of having to "crack" the toe joints with pain may indicate that you might have some accessory bone inflammation or some sort of tendon issue/ligament issue at the joint level.  A proper foot orthopedic examination should help diagnose the problem.

i fell down some steps couple months back. now i have pain on my right toe knuckle when bent. why?

Doctor can evaluate: If one has a painful toe "knuckle" that was injured in a fall 2 months ago, there may have been a small fracture or some other damage to the joint at the "knuckle". An orthopedic doctor or a podiatrist (foot doctor) can evaluate the foot and toes, and probably will do some x-rays to see what damage is there. Either of these doctors can start some helpful treatment.

Arthritis: This could be arthritis, which includes gout; it could also be just a painful bunion.  Your age and how long the pain has been present will help determine the cause.  Also is the pain better in shoes or when you are barefoot.

Chips Ahoy...: I would expect that the toe would be swollen, possibly bruised and somewhat painful. All of these symptoms would be good initial indicators. However, the only effective way to tell is to have the toe x-rayed. In the meantime, applying ice to the area will help with the swelling and pain. Elevation might also have some benefit. Using the x-ray as a guide, the chip may be able to be re-positioned.

i hit my bby toe last yr, it swelled, turned black&pained. it has grown back rotated & the "knuckle" is big. should i see a dr?

100 percent: It is common for a baby toe to, rotate, but if you broke it it may have healed funny or you may have grown excess bone. If it hurts this can be fixed thru a small surgical procedure. See a foot specialist.

Seborrheic keratosis: Apply cortisone or triamcinolone cream twice daily. If no improvement consult your doctor.

To my knowledge No -: cause has yet been established for it. It also does not result in any longterm ill effects. However having said that, if someone has it in joint, which has been ijnured in the past then it would be better to have that checked out by your orthopd with an xrays to see if there is a loose body or some other cause for it.

Increased pigment: in joint areas is usually genetic.  There are different natural and prescribed types of exfoliators and ointments that can help. Check with your provider for the best treatment for you!

Since your: skin "spots" are BILATERAL and Symmetrical I would guess that they are caused by one of the pairs of FOOTWEAR you have RUBBING on the tope of your great toes....(Often the "closest fits"is that area)
