Need 2 C UR SURGEON: It is unusual to have severe abdominal pain 3 weeks after laparoscopic surgery. Rather than speculate about possible causes, it's best to have face-to-face evaluation by your surgeon; I am certain they would want to know.

Ask your surgeon: THis seems a long time, and there are lots of possible causes.  You certainly need to check in with your surgeon and possibly be seen.  You can safely use heat on the painful area, and take a small amount of whatever pain reliever was suggested right after the surgery.  Good luck!

Pain: This could be anything. Sometimes people get compression nerve syndromes in different places of the body. This is equalant to carpal tunnel  on your wrist. But this could be something else like them hernia not seen outside. You should seek medical help.

Does it resolve?: Does it disappear at some times and seem more prominent at others? Hernias are usually initially painless ill defined masses in the abdomen.

No other symptoms? So no fever, no pain, no rectal bleeding, no change in your periods?

If you can actually palpate a mass go and see a doctor.

Have it checked: Splenomegaly as a finding isn't common unless you've been exposed to certain things that would cause it to be felt. Is this somethig your doctor has already discussed with you? If so, yonu need for him/ her to do an abdominal exam on you while lying down, and you'll have your answer. If it's continuous, and not related to your spleen, check your diet as bloating can be occur.

GI: It could be a mild case of diverticulitis.....any fevers or chills? If you have been constipated, this could put you at risk for diverticulosis and subsequent diverticulitis.

Pain: My guess is that this is muscular pain of the abdominal muscles due to repeated vomiting.
