berni has 4 -5 small open sores kind of like holes above his right side butt cheek just below hip bone little bit discharge. he skin popped herion a  few days ago on that area. what can it be & what does he need to do to cure it?

Drug use: He more than likely did not injection in a safe manner. From the description it sound like he has developed skin necrosis. If there is a discharge -as long as its not infected keep it clean and wash with antiseptic. If the holes are very deep then it may need surgical attention.

Yes, possibly: Your ilium is the large wing-shaped pelvic bone. The medial portion of your ilium is the part closer to your spine.  A lesion in your ilium could cause pain in your back and buttock area, but so could many other things  including a compressed nerve (from a bulging disc), a tight piriformis muscle,  or inflammation in your sacroiliac joint. It sounds like your pain "refers", making me think nerve.

Probably...: If the pain started about 2 weeks after your last period (assuming 28 day cycle) then yes, ovulation. If that is the case, your next period would start 2 weeks after the ovulation. If the timing doesn't match up, then ovarian cyst may be what happened.  The fact that it is improving is very reassuring.

No : The main reason to remove a bone spur from the hip would be if it was causing pain or a limp and if you have failed non operative management options.  If this is not the case, it does not necessarily have to be removed.

Possible arthritis: Without seeing an xray, possibly this is indicative of early degenerative joint disease/arthritis.

Many possibilities: Trauma of some sort would be the most common, but this definitely needs an examination.  Go see your pcp and get examined and will probably need some imaging studies.  Good luck.
