Sounds like: a pinched nerve in your neck at the C-1-C3  levels.
A cervical collar may be helpful (this can be purchased in most Pharmacies) You also need a "hands on" visit to your Medical Professional for a neurologic exam and possible Cervical Spine MRI...Hope this is helpful!

Dizziness: If you're experiencing vertigo, a spinning sensation, upon sitting upright from a supine position, an inner ear disorder is likely.  Rolling over in bed  causing a spinning sensation is also characteristic. Low back pain seems unrelated. Any recent strain? A lightheaded sensation on standing up is seen with low blood pressure or even anemia. Getting examined by your MD is advisable. ?see ENT also.

Muscle tension progresses through the day and is often worse in the afternoon or evening. The alignment of the neck may be incorrect due to a muscle strain, ligament injury, or early arthritis. See a chiropractor or neurosurgeon for evaluation and treatment.

Ok but what is the : Question? If it is possible causes, this can range from tension to muscular strain or some disc issue.  If it persists in spite of otc medication and with heat applications, he can see his doctor if the pain is bothersome enough to warrant an evaluation.

An old bump can leave a harmless fibrous scar where the bruise was.  A cancer here is uncommon, but a new mass or ulcer that is growing anywhere is worrisome.

Could be several : There can be cervical or neck issues that can cause pain in that area as well as ear or mastoid problems.  Problems related to the occipital nerves which are there can cause pain.  Tmj issues can cause pain there as well & one can have  brain problems present there as well as vascular problems.  Tension can cause pain there as well.  Get it evaluated.

Yes: Headaches are common during illnesses such as colds.  You can use a pain reliever for help.  If you are not getting over it in 7-10 days, then you should be seen by the doctor.
