Indirectly: I am imagining that you mean "common variable immuno-deficiency" by "cvid" - if I am wrong about that, please let me know. There would not be a direct cause whereby changes in your immune system cause pain. But if there's inflammation  or infection for another reason, that can. If you are on medications that irritate your stomach or gallbladder or pancreas, that can refer to your shoulder blade.

Sorry to hear: This. A scapula is a very odd bone for a primary tumor, and also odd for something traveled to that bone, but it does no get bone spurs. A "mass" needs to be biopsied. However, it is more likely to be from some other place: lung, breast (w), prostate (m)...My last scapular met came from a kidney primary.

Rib pains: Scant information to go on, but scapular pain is generally muscular from a strain or sprain and ribs underlie this area. Rib underneath can be painful due to a rotation at the junction site causing an intercostal neuritis. Herpetic neuralgia is a possibility but you are young. A good physical exam will demonstrate this, and a chest x ray will rule out a referral pain. See your doctor.

Shoulder Blade Pain: Pain from a separated shoulder usually is limited to the a-c joint where the shoulder separated.   Is your scapula pain right over the shoulder blade? Has your separated shoulder healed?  If you have scapula pain when you raise your arm up sideway (abduction), but no pain at the a-c joint then I do not see a relationship and would look for another cause.

Needs more studies: Xrays would rule out bony abnormalities, but sometimes a MRI is needed to evaluate the soft tissue structures near the scapula.

Muscle spasm: 30y female has pain unilateral scapula region; likely represents soft tissue spasm. Look in minor &amp; at photos. Is head chronically tilted toward left side. Head weighs 10 pounds. Pinch leading edge of Superior trapezius muscle at top of shoulder. Is the right thick and painful compared to a soft thin left? Crossed muscles in shoulder?  Scoliosis? Left sacroiliac joint sags? Unusual case: You have left muscle pains.  You are scheduled for a muscle biopsy of this area monday.  Ask your doctors what they hope to find with the biopsy.  Have a family member present who can write down the answer do you can review later.

Unusual : It would be unusual to have pain from " gas" that would last as long as a month.  It is more likely it is musculoskeletal in orgin.  Don't hesitate to be seen.
