what to do if i have this pain in my right tonsil and right ear. is something wrong with my spinal cord?

No: Pain in the tonsil is referring pain to the ear.  If the hearing has not changed, I would consult an ENT doctor for treatment of the right tonsil and the ear pain should resolve. Nothing is wrong with your spinal cord.  The referred pain is through the vagus nerve.  Pain from the tonsil (vagus nerve) is referred to the posterior ear canal which is also innervated by branches of the vagus.

i have a really sharp pain in my right tonsil and i have bad tonsil stones all the time. my tonsils tend to swell often but my regular doctor says it's just caused by allergies. is it a good idea to get my tonsils removed because i'm really tired of havin

Yes, remove tonsils: sorry you're having so much trouble with tonsil stones but tonsillectomy is the best way to eradicate the problem.

i occasional have pain in right lingual tonsil. i've quit smoking. an oral surgeon recently examined it and wasn't concerned. i also have acid reflux?

Relax: If your oral surgeon is not concerned, the you should be fine. But, if you are still anxious, then please see another doctor.

Not uncommon: No one is totally symmetrical and thus this is not uncommon unless it is a new development.

Enlarged tonsil: 8 months. So this is relatively recent, not for you normal anatomy. It's more than time to hav3 it evaluated.please see a Physician, preferably a specialist Otolaryngologist (ENT).

Not at all!: This is usually a good thing when your tonsils "shrink".  Tonsils enlarge due to infection and irritation, so the fact that it is shrinking is a positive thing!  Don't worry, be happy!  :)  If you get a throat infection don't be surprised if it enlarges again!

Tonsil regrowth: Important that you see your General Physician, or Urgent Care (not ER) to start the diagnostic process.  Referral to an ENT may be advisable.  Any growth/swelling should be investigated.

i have the discomfort and now i can see what look like little holes all over my right tonsil. not my left. what can cause holes? is it normal?

May be physiologic :   And maybe physiologic was the other thing one would consider is whether it is infected since it is tender. This is something discuss with your physician and maybe get a culture

Tonsil asymmetry: When one tonsil is much larger than the other, the potential for lymphoma is a consideration and in the differential diagnosis. Asymmetry is a surgical  indication for tonsillectomy. My advice would be to see an ENT doctor.  If they agree that your tonsils are unequal, then you should have tonsillectomy and the tonsils will be evaluated in the lab for final diagnosis.

Stone?: Food , debris can sometimes show up as a discolored spot on your tonsil. Otherwise I would get tested for strep, mono, masses by your doctor. Good luck
