From exercising : You are describing pain where the intercostal muscles attach to ribs. This is generally from a pulled or slightly torn tendon at that point and usually is the result of exercise. Hold off on working out until it goes away. Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen may help in the meantime

Multiple causes: Upper back & right sides chest may be the result of a thoracic disc herniation, thoracic facet syndrome, T4 syndrome, costoveterbral syndrome, muscle strain, ect. It may also represent referred pain from internal organs such as the heart & lungs, which are more serious. With your breathing difficulties you should contact  your  pcp for an immediate evaluation. If not available go to nearest er!

?Pleuritic: Inflammation of the lining of the lungs and chest cavity, known as pleuritis or pleurisy, can cause "pleuritic" chest pain. Pleuritis should be suspected if the pain or burning gets worse when you take deep breaths.  There may be several causes of pleuritis, such as infection, inflammation, reactive airway disease, etc. Take an NSAID and call the Dr. for an evlautaion of your chest/lung discomfort

Pleurisy: It sounds most like pleurisy rather than a symptom of asthma.  If it continues, see a doctor to get checked out for sure.  Best of luck!

i had covid this jan i coughed alot for two weeks.since then i am getting episodes where i feel deep wheezing/vibration in right lung with deep breath.i feel in my chest front & back its been there for a while but it feels stronger especially in morn?

Xray: it seems you strained yourself but to  be safe get an ventilation perfusion x-ray of your lungs.

for 2 1/2 weeks had sinusitis and bronchitis. finished z pack. saw pcp wed and was told my lungs were clear. still bringing up mucous, though clear. today chest feels tight and i have mild pain in heart area when taking deep breath. i do have mild asthma.

No: Adults do not just develop asthma.  This most likely is residual respiratory inflammation from your bronchitis .  If this does not resolve over the weekend contact your physician as you may need additional antibiotics.

Pleurisy or other dx: Pain with breathing is called 'pleuritic pain'. Pleurisy or pneumonia can cause inflammation of the 'lung lining' so it is important to distinguish these 2 causes. Pneumonia usually has other symptoms: cough/fever/fatigue/short of breath. A chest xray can help make the diagnosis. The treatment for pleurisy is 'anti-inflammatories' (nsaids) such as aleve (naproxen). Hope you are better soon!

if i take anything more than a shallow breath after lying down on my side i experience sharp pains from my right lung don't smoke no conditions. help?

Go to see your MD: Go to see md to get checked. It could be from something like pleurisy/irritation to your pleura ( outside lining of your lung) vs, muskuloskeletal related- however if you have other symptoms, bronchitis/pneumonia, blood clot etc. Should be also ruled out. Take some nsaids to help the pain and go to see your md to get checked.
