Any number of things: The fact that the bump is sore indicates it is inflamed...Inflammation can be a reaction to a clotted vein "phlebitis", or and infection. If the overlying skin is red and warm to touch this indicates inflammation as well.. An ultrasound could probably more precisely identify the problem.

Sciatica maybe: Pain radiating down the leg is concerning for 'sciatica' which is usually due to a slipped disc in your spine impinging on a nerve root.

How long have you had it?

Ordinarily patients can initially try an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen.

Given your urinary symptoms though- I would see a doctor for an examination ASAP, so they can formulate a treatment plan.

A dermatologist can: give you a specialist answer. In general, hot water is not a problem.  Lubricate your skin from w/in w/fish oil, vitamin E, or coconut oil.  Externally w/vitamin E oi or other non-alcohol containing lotionl.  It won't stop the wrinkles but can add comfort.  Please see dermatologist.  Peace and good health.

Could inflamation: When veins get darker this means the stay longer in the leg, the circulation slow than normal, this could lead to superficial phlebitis or deep phlebitis? Check with your dr.

Tricky: dermatologic conditions are difficult to diagnose without seeing them BUT the process would seem to be an infection since it is red and spreading. A good reason for antibiotics.

Varicose veins: This sounds like a varicose vein. If develop pain, swelling, or shortness of breath, see your doctor for proper evaluation and treatment

That sounds classic: For a "heat rash" which is a type of dermatitis. That said every good dermatologist I know says if it's a rash, you have to see it to make a diagnosis. See a family physician first in case it's something really obvious, but ask for a derm referral if you don't get better in 2-3 weeks of treatment.

Not likely: Varicose veins don't usually occur upper inner thighs.

Would get them checked out.
