Physician  Review: Painful nodes in the breast may or may not be significant. Any palpable nodule in the breast should be reviewed by a physician who is experienced in breast review; surgeon, OB gyn, pcp. The provider should have access to high resolution ultrasound for an in depth review of the palpable area. Treatment options range from conservative observation to surgical excision, biopsy. Seek physician review.

i have a pain in my left armpit and breast, it comes and goes. any advice?

Any breast mass?: Most things that cause your symptoms will be benign (not cancer).  It could be a fibroadenoma, lipoma, muslce strain etc.  But you would need to be examined and most likely imaged.  A doctor can take a thorough history and perform a breast exam and determine what is causing your symptoms.

Assuming that: you have no injury, it is probably inflammatory or infectious changes, but it is could be angina.  Consult with your doctor immediately.

Depends: With your age and the fact that you are taking a lot of advil possibly it could mean that you have esophagitis. Although this can be a sign of a heart attack- in your age group-- that is very unlikely . Try taking antacids like maalox and Prilosec otc. Also stop all advil and take only tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain instead of advil --if symptoms rapidly improve fine otherwise i woould see your doctor to check.

pain in left armpit radiating to breast and arm. doc says no swollen glands, no redness. don't feel ill but pain persists. second opinion? infection?

Infection unlikely: Infection anywhere in the body will show signs of inflammation besides pain. Inflammation will produce fever and local tenderness and reddness. In the absence of these signs, infection is unlikely. Pain in the arm can originate in the neck in case there is pressure on the nerves. You should ask your doctor to give you some pain medication and continue to monitor your pain. More tests may be requir.

Probably not: Would need to see a doctor for an examination, but pain is not a common symptom of breast cancer. Painless firm breast mass is more common. Breast and axillary pain can be from inflammation or muscle pains. See a doctor for an examination.

: There is muscle effect of progesterone that could cause soreness. It is possible that the progesterone level may be contributing. You may avoid heavy lifting around your period and probably gentle massage of the muscles to help the soreness in the muscles. You may also use warm pack to see if that eases the pain, and taking pain medication is an option.

burning pain in left armpit, 1 week. no rash or visible irritation. no lumps in pit or breast. small brown mole/skin tag nearby ive had forever, but unchanged and no pain. pain comes and goes.shaved with a dull razor about 12 days ago. worrisome?

: Dull razor shave may not be a good idea, however if you use antiperspirant you may want to interuppt for a few days because it could be the irritant.
