noticed that my muscles & tendons get stiff very quickly, possibly because of sitting all day in office bcs never suffered from this before. it has started bothering me on daily basis, i do daily stretching, are there any exercise programs to follow?

: the best thing you can do is get up from your chair every one to two hours and walk around the room, bend down and stretch. have a cup or glass of water and go back to work.

feel pain at gap between r leg and hip when i stand up or when i try to sit cross-legged. any tendon there or is it muscle problem? how to resolve?

Accepted Answer

If its on the: Outside it could be a bursitis called trchanteric bursitis, especially if it's tender when u touch it.  Aleve (naproxen) 2 tablets twice daily may help.  That would likely help anyway as long as you have no contraindication.  Good luck, see doc if worsens.

tendons in legs have been too tight for years calves muscles have deteriorated and constant severe pain in buttocks stretching daily doesn't help, nothing helps, unbearable, cant sit.i stretch legs daily for years never gets better, pain unbearable?

: I have seen such patients undergo a very prolonged period ( like a year)  of physical therapy for this problem. Ask your physician to refer you.

thought i pulled a muscle but physical therapist sister says its my tendons? while stretching in bed after waking, i hurt the tendons back side of knee. two months later pain is still there and aggrevated when climbing stairs or sitting with knees bent

It : It definitely sounds like you need an mri. This will show any tendon or ligament damage. See your doctor. He/she will exam you, order an x-ray first then decide on an mri. If possible see an orthopedist. If not your doctor will refer you after doing preliminary tests.

in certain positions 1 shoulder blade sticks out way more than other, also same side of neck a muscle/tendon from ear to shoulder is prominent, no pain/movement loss, what could cause this?

LTN: Sounds like injury to the long thoracic nerve or cranial nerve 11. Any trauma history? If not, then is there any imaging of the neck and ribs?

Too many to list: You can do a websearch for all the muscles around the knee and the ligaments of the knee.  All can cause knee pain.  You can also have a meniscus tear.  You can have cartilage and bone erosions. 

You can have a joint effusion.

See a doctor to have your knee examined.

: Hamstring injuries can become chronic and debilitating when not cared for properly.  You did not provide cause, mechanism of injury. Running jumping. It makes a difference. If running see a sports medicine podiatrist

Let me help: Treatment of minor injury of those in general is by splinting or casting.
Major injury in general need surgical treatment.

Yes: Maybe. Tens probably improve local blood flow which promotes healing.

Usually NOT: MRV or MR Venography is to study the veins in the area of interest.  There is usually no diagnostic evaluation of additional structures.
