Get checked for: Heart or stomach condition etc. Try peptobismol or gavincon for now . Cut back on sodas , caffeine , spicy foods, dairy products etc. Hope u feel better!

Sounds suspicious: It could be coronary heart disease (chd) -- blockages in the arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle.  The chest pain and burping could also be something else, such as acid reflux.  I recommend discussing this with a physician soon.  If it is chd, medications can be used to relieve the symptoms and to prevent a heart attack.  A stress test can help to determine if the condition is severe.

Sounds GI related: As described, this sounds GI related, especially with the history of belching.  Discuss with your dr. As it sounds like you may need to at the least avoid trigger foods that may irritate your esophagus or GI tract and cause "heart burn.".

Acid reflux: Normally, stomach acids remain in the stomach where the lining is well protected from damage by cels that produce mucin. The esophagus has less protection than the stomach and if acids leave the stomach frequently, the esophagus can be damaged. Acid exposure to damagesd tissues can cause pain (heart burn). Even though this sounds like reflux, a docctor's evaluation is suggested to confirm this.

See your doctor: You will need a more thorough history to be taken, an examination and some tests to figure out why you are feeling that way. It could be anything from dehydration, to heartburn to flu to something more serious...

Unsure: Left sided chest pain can have several causes, some very serious.  With burping, uncontrolled acid reflux is high on the list.  What did your Barium swallow show?  If the omeprazole hasn't helped, you are due for endoscopy.  Also make sure H pylori is ruled out and you avoid nsaids.  Other possibilities are heart/heart lining problems, lung inflammation, chest wall musc/connective tis pain etc

Some possibilities: A person with new chest pain has to go his doctor or the E.R. To be checked for a heart problem. That means not waiting at home to see if it turns into a bad problem. As the saying goes, "better safe than sorry". Lung problems include pleurisy or pneumothorax. Esophageal problems include reflux and esophagitis. Heart problems include rhythm problems, pericarditis, myocarditis, heart attack, etc...

Chest wall: Chest discomfort which occurs with extending the chest out or with burps could be of chest wall (Ribs/muscles) or of gastrointestinal origin. 
 Would recommend physician evaluation to help ensure not a worrisome cause.

Yes, but: GERD can cause left sided pain, but not pain with movement which sounds muscular. On the other hand, burping with meals means you're swallowing air ("aerophagia") which can be a symptom of irritation in your GI tract or just of stress. So, you have more than one issue going on, sir.

Left sided chest pai: I do not know how old you are.
Generally if the pain increases on coughing and laughing it may be costochondritis, however you should see your doctor for evaluation.
