Side effects include: constipation, diarrhea; nausea, vomiting, heartburn; stomach pain, upset stomach; black or dark-colored stools or urine; temporary staining of the teeth; headache; or unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth. Talk to your prescribing Dr for follow up. They may want you to start at a lower dose and increase

Many things: It could be related to the food you eat.  It may be gallstones.  It could be your liver or pancreas. Kidney stones on the right will cause pain. Also it could be due to your appendix.  Get checked out by your primary care and they can help steer you in the right direction/.

Overeating: You are supplying body with more calories/fuel than it requires. Excess calories are converted into fat by the body &amp; is most noticeable in abdominal wall. Suggest you obtain nutritional advice. In mean time, try drinking 2 glasses of water before every meal, avoid snacks, have frequent small healthy meals high in fruit &amp; vegetables &amp; low in carbs. Difficult but essential for long &amp; healthy life

: I would suggest that you ask if she is also constipated. There is possibility of cancer, however it is more likely that she just needs to adjust her diet to drink adequate fluid with more vegetables and fruit to improve regularity of bowel activities and reduce fecal stasis. Diet high in certain sugars may also cause the symptoms.
