i am bleeding from my anus. im bleeding internally but it's very close to the end of the rectum. i think it might be internal hemorroids, help please?

Hemorrhoids: Are likely the cause here.Avoid straining and pushing during a bowel movem.Take a stool softener and drink a lot of fluids if you are constipated. Bleeding should never be taken lightly. I would recommend making an appt with your family doc and possible referral to a GI doc for a detailed exam and rule out other serious causes. If bleeding is heavy or if you feel light headed you need to go to er.

No: Hemorrhoids are enlarged veins at the anal opening. A fissure is a tear in the lining of the skin of the anal canal. A hemorrhoid does not cause a fissure, but straining to have hard constipated bowel movements can cause both hemorrhoids or fissure. You cannot tell yourself on self-examination what you may have, and it needs a physical examination with a physician to tell.

You have a choice: There is risk with choosing this type of sexual activity and bleeding from trauma to your hemorrhoids is only one small risk. Anal exam needed: Since hemorrhoid a can occur in and out of anal,canal, finger exam is typically performed to do a complete exam.  Perhaps you had other exams that provided the same information, but  digital exam is customary.

When no pain / blood: By definition, internal hemorrhoids should not be painful (but may bleed).  External hemorrhoids ARE (generally) painful.  You should be symptom free (no pain or bleeding) ideally before anal sex.

A few days to weeks: Hemorrhoids can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to heal, and I'd say once they stop bleeding and cease being painful you can resume anal sex with your partner. If the hemorrhoids become thrombosed (get a blood clot within them) it can take up to 3 months to heal on their own and more intensive treatment may be necessary.

i have been experiencing mild irritation / a dry feeling on the outside of my anus off and on for months.  is it possible this is somehow caused by internal hemorrhoids (which i do have)?

It : Won't impede healing and if your loose weight and stay active it may indirectly help. Advice: drink a lot of water, warm sit bath, cold compresses also may help. Do not linger sitting at the toilet. Good luck.
