Not cause and effect: Both are due to the same underlying  problem.  The autonomic nervous system controls both bladder and bowel.  The easiest way to make this go wrong is poor diet, particularly all those sugary sweet things

Nerve: There are pelvic nerve complexes that are in the region which control bladder.  Constipation is entirely different.  Likely this scenario is related to diet, and you should increase your vitamin c intake and reassess your dietary habits.

Would be late: By the time a bladder cancer has progressed enough to make you constipated, you'll have other indications that something is seriously wrong. If you've been constipated for more than a few days, and are drinking enough water, it's worth checking with your physician -- thyroid disease, porphyria and a variety of other medical illnesses may announce themselves this way.

Constipation would: Not make my top 10 list of things occuring with urinary bladder cancer. Constipation is quite common in both sexes, usually related to diet, but can be related to bowel problems.  The urinary system is quite independent until we get to very advanced cases at either end.  If you are constipated, scratch bladder cancer of the list of worries, but go talk about natural dietary changes first.

Doctor can evaluate: Lower abdominal discomfort can be from many things. For pain there, appendicitis is a concern (pain usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one is constipated for several days, stool can back up on the left and then the right side, and cause pain. Gallstones, kidney stones, or gastroenteritis can also cause pain. One's primary care doctor or the Emergency Room doctor can evaluate.

Reduced bile flow: Bile is important for the digestion of fatty foods..Bile flow is compromised for a while after gallbladder surgery. Need to adjust your diet better and seek guidance from you GI surgeon

Not usually: If you have constipation - You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

The more common ..: problem after gall bladder removal is diarrhea as bile is constantly flowing now into the intestine. Often, if constipation occurs it is related to the effects of anesthesia, inactivity, and narcotic pain killers used post-operatively. The usual treatments--high fiber diet, lots of water, exercise--apply. A stool softener or laxative such a Miralax (polyethylene glycol) may be recommended.
