UTI? STD? Epididymis: Are you sure about UTI diagnosis? UTI is possible in men your age, but rare. Were you tested for STDs, especially gonorrhea and chlamydia? These are the most common conditions that can mimic UTI in younger males. Whether due to one of these or a true UTI, it sounds like you might have epididymitis, i.e. infection spreading into your testicle. Return to your doctor immediately. Good luck.

Muscle strain?: Did you do some sort of vigorous activity before this started?  You don't mention your gender; if female, the ovary or uterus can be involved.  If male, you don't have those parts!!  Groin pain usually comes from pulled or strained muscles, sometimes from a hernia (pushing of insides through muscles), which may show up as a lump in the groin when standing, coughing, straining.  If stays, see Dr.

Pain: Less likely to be SI joint and not at all likely to be piriformis syndrome. Sometimes the SI joint pain may radiate to the groin area but would feel like a deep dull ache. It would increase while bending forward and esp getting out of a chair. There may be tenderness in the back. Please inform us of any aggravation and relieving factors, any other symptoms. That may get you better answers.

Bone islands: are benign incidental findings, they don't cause a mass.  If you had a bony or calcified mass the CT should have showed it easily.  The mass you feel may be hard, but not bone.  Additional imaging with mri may be useful if CT failed to provide an answer.

Common problem: I hope you used shaving cream as you would on your face. Also it is possible that you nicked the skin &amp; caused a minor infection that became a "boil". The skin in the public area is a little different that facial skin. Get to see your family physician or a dermatologist ASAP before it gets worse.

Try antifungal cream: The most common cause of a rash in the groin area is called tinea cruis or "jock-itch".  Try an over the counter anti-fungal cream like Clotrimazole or lotrimin (clotrimazole).  After one week, if these don't work then you may have seborrheic dermatitis.  This requires a prescription from a dermatologist.

Rest, heat/ice: Any pulled or strained muscle needs rest to heal. For this reason, avoid any activity or exercise that causes pain in that area. Use ice and heat alternately. Medicines that contain N.S.A.I.Ds like Ibuprofen or Naproxen will help with pain and inflammation. If problem persists after 4 weeks of doing this, then you should be seen by your doctor for tests and treatment.
