Rest, heat/ice: Any pulled or strained muscle needs rest to heal. For this reason, avoid any activity or exercise that causes pain in that area. Use ice and heat alternately. Medicines that contain N.S.A.I.Ds like Ibuprofen or Naproxen will help with pain and inflammation. If problem persists after 4 weeks of doing this, then you should be seen by your doctor for tests and treatment.
