why do insurance companies not pay for adult fluoride treatment?

Money: Insurance companies are in business to make money for the insurance company. To do this they have contracts that dictate what they will and will not cover. When deciding what to cover they look to eliminate as many minor procedures as possible as the least number of people will object to this.  Adult Fluoride treatments are relatively inexpensive so very few people object to it not being covered.

No standard cost...: In the US there are no standard prices for procedures. Ketamine injections are not a routine treatment here so it may be difficult to even find a doctor who offers this. If you do, you would need to call the doctor's office to ask but any doctor would need to first do an initial patient visit and it would undoubtedly cost much more than $50. Health care in the US tends to be rather pricey.

Discuss with derm: Us will depend on your coverage provisions and the type of laser or ipl used. Your dermatologist is your best reference as they will likely have experience with third party payor's policies.

Tell us more: Do you have a diagnosis of Cancer? which site of your body is affected by cancer? What is the stage of your Cancer?. Unless we know  and can tell us about the stage of your cancer, we can not estimate your prognosis. You should be able to get these answers from your treating oncologist.

Not advised: It is really not advised to change settings on your cpap machine without consulting your pulmonologist. Doctors can refuse to treat patients. If they do refuse to treat you they are obligated to give you sufficient time to find a new physician.

Payment plans: If you cannot pay either the hospital or the doctors  you can set up payment plans to pay a small amount every month until the debt is cleared. There may be charities that may pay for some services like church etc. You may have enquire within your community.

Difficult to Predict: Depends. Your health system to include local and hospital systems are working together to determine this. testing for presence of the virus may be covered but the antibody testing may be out of pocket at this time.

Not sure I know: what NHS is, or if the data are true (33 year old, female).  But Prostate cancer only occurs in men, usually over 50. Detected by screening PSA or nodule of rectal exam.  If you have an insurance plan through ACA it will help, if you are uninsured, go to Charleston Memorial Hospital and ask.

Endodontic treatmnet: Both those countries have socialized medicine. If you can get the treatment done - remember its rationed care- then payment is made to the doctor directly and is based on schedules set up by the government. Its getting the treatment that is the issue and also getting it in a suitable time frame.
