can you use diaper rash cream for a pad rash?

Yes: May of the diaper rash creams contain zinc oxide, which can be helpful for the chaffing/irritation rash caused by pads. If however, the rash from the pads is from not irritation but actual allergy to the fibers of the pad, the diaper cream probably won't do much.

the part of my clitorus hurts, looks like small flat red bumps.. not sure what to do?! could it be from a pad rash? on my cycle. the inside of my vagina is fine no bumps, burning or itching?

: I personally feel that the risk of any skin cancer secondary to your exposure is very slim. You might have the hyperpigmentation for a while, however. See your dermatologist should any significant changes occur in the area of involvement

Several things: Yeast infections are the most common cause of vaginal itching. Yeast medications are available over the counter. Trichomoniasis and herpes are two stds which can cause itching and pain in the vagina. Schedule a visit to help narrow down the problem if you do not improve with over the counter yeast cream

Allergy: I have seen this many times. Usually the patient is having an allergic reaction to the adhesive material located on the pad. There are brands without adhesives but the easiest thing to do is to change to tampons. This solves the problem.

Fofficulitis: The friction from the pad  closed the pores.One way to combat this is to apply Ban deodorant in this area.

Topical steroids: Irritational rashes usually respond to topical steroids for a short time.

Rx as any rash: Pads create a moist environment. Use a drying powder, but b sure it is not a fungus infection which would need a medicated powder so c u r gyn & use cotton panties. Also switching 2 tampons is an option or if you prefer not 2 use them then switch brands.

my  daughter  of 12 got a rash from a maxi pad. what can i have her use?

Dermatitis : If you are certain is from her sanitary pad you may use hydrocortisone. If not hundred percent  sure sometimes a dermatitis and a fungal infection may look alike so you may add clotrimazole  cream . Both are sold over the counter. If not better take her to her doctor for direct exam.
