Most likely PVC: This is most likely a premature beat from the ventricle, or pvc, which produces a wider comples on the ecg.  It will resemble a paced beat.

Nonlethal.: After ablation &amp; pacemaker insertion (which is the usual treatment for a complete heart block), the atria &amp; ventricle are isolated but they can still be irritable. The pacemaker is there to "overdrive pace" any dangerous rhythm. Couplets &amp; bigeminy aren't, by themselves, dangerous. Runs may terminate on its own or due to overdrive pacing- check report &amp; TTYD/Cardiologist. Alternative: HltTap Prime

Great question!: Since you've already had an ablation, you already have an expert at your disposal to help answer this question - the same doctor who did your procedure.  He or she needs to know your symptoms in order to obtain any additional testing, which may well be an event monitor.  Call today!

so on my ekg i am missing a few spikes here and there. ive worn a holter monitor for a freaking month. he called them premature beats. i dont trust this doctor though. im already on medicine for it. am i going to end up with a pacemaker?

Can see Cardiologist: A teen with some premature heartbeats can see a cardiologist for an opinion, especially if the patient is not so confident about her primary care doctor's evaluation of the premature heartbeats. A cardiologist can review the Holter recording, and do a thorough heart exam. If having worrisome heart or chest symptoms, the patient can of course go to the ER for evaluation.

i had a dual chamber pacemaker placed on 3/8/21. placed due to bradycardia and syncope. after placement i had many ectopic beats. a 24 hour holter monitor was placed and the results were normal sinus rhythm with very frequent ectopic beats. normal?

Her : Her abnormal ekg and elevated enzymes indicate that she probably came into the hospital with an mi.  Anoxic encephalopathy can occur as quickly as 2 - 4 minutes, or potentially even less depending on her condition prior to the arrest.  A telemetry floor is where patients are placed so that their heart rhythm can be monitored continuously, either by the nurses on the floor or a specially trained technician.  A telemetry box, attached to ekg leads on the patient, transmits the rhythm strip wirelessly to a central monitoring station.  Training in interpretation of ekg's is usual for nurses on such a floor.  On a telemetry floor response to an arrest will be much quicker than in a situation where the heart rhythm is not monitored.  Arrests can still happen, though, since the heart rhythm may continue for a while after a patient stops breathing or even, insome instances after the heart stops pumping blood.

Pacers: Generally pacers last 4 to 7 years though the newer batteries have longer theoretic life. They stick out depending on how thick the can(pulse generator) is.

Low: There is an ongoing small risk of infection. There is also a small operative risk associated with changing the pacemaker and the wires that attach to your heart. Sometimes the old wires need to be removed and this carries a risk as well. There is  very low risk of device malfunction. Very rarely patients can develop weaker heart muscle from chronic pacing. All combined the risks remain low.
