Controlled release: Medications like Oxycontin contain a much higher dose of pain medication than oxycodone, which is designed to be slowly delivered over time. However, when someone does something to the Oxycontin to disrupt the controlled release, they get the whole dose all at once.  This has proved fatal on more than one occasion, and very, very not smart.

: It's good to start off with 5mg. of oxycodone than increase it to 10 mg. if pain is strong. Ten mg. might have been too strong to start off with, that's why you threw up. Oxycodone is to be taken every 12 hours, any other multiple doses will lead to addiction, be careful and consult your doctor.

Going up on narcotic: is generally not a good idea. That is already getting to be a large dose. People with lung disease need as much breathing as possible and narcoticcs lowers the drive to breath (bad).

No: There is no such thing, really, as "stronger" when we talk about drugs.  Potency is really just a matter of how big the pill is.  All opioids work equally effectively in equipotent doses.  However, they are affected by how well they are absorbed (immediate release morphine is poorly absorbed), how quickly they get to the brain and side effects they have. The ms is higher dose than the oxycodone.
