Risk: Every medication has risk. Nobody can guarantee that you won't have side effect or be injured by any medication you take. If your doctor prescribes these medications for you after knowing your condition, then that means he/she feels the possible benefit outweighs the risk.  You have to decide whether you agree with your doctor or not.

Oxycodone: The pill colors and shapes change all the time.  There is a phone app called epocrates that has the pictures of meds.

i have a small, white round pill with a 114 on it that i think is oxycodone ir 30 mg. sadly, i inject oxycodone daily. can this type also be injected?

Accepted Answer

No: It is never recommended to inject any medication that is meant to be taken orally.  Risk of infection is quite high.  I would however recommend that you discuss your pain medication usage with your doctor and get proper advice for your needs or treatment.

can most medications (normal tablets etc and including pain medications - oxycodone etc) be taken rectally if you're feeling nauseous and can't keep anything down?

Accepted Answer

: This is not recommended as the absorption is very different so the effects of the medications would be very different. Call your doctor and ask for treatment of the nausea. You also need to find out the etiology of the nausea. There are many effective nausea medications and then you will be able to take your other meds, once the nausea is controlled. Good luck!

i took 5 mg cyclobenzaprine i decided to take the other half. i accidentally took 5 mg of oxycodone. the was both half pills in my pill cutter box. should i be concerned?

: YES, you do need to be very concerned and discuss this fully with your doctor.  Cyclobenzaprine plus a narcotic may result in devastating cessation of breathing while asleep, and an accident can be catastrophic.  Devise a NEW approach for your medication protocols.  Your doctor should have someone in the office to help.

i take oxycodone for chronic pain. today i threw up 20 minutes after taking 10 mg dose, should i take another pill or 20 mins was enough for a fast release oxycodone for the body to absorb it?

Accepted Answer

: It's good to start off with 5mg. of oxycodone than increase it to 10 mg. if pain is strong. Ten mg. might have been too strong to start off with, that's why you threw up. Oxycodone is to be taken every 12 hours, any other multiple doses will lead to addiction, be careful and consult your doctor.

i took 4 tablets of 5-325 roxicet (oxycodone + acetaminophen), could this be an overdose?

Accepted Answer

Possibly: Everyone is different in their ability to tolerate opiate pain medications.  If this was the first time you took this amount, it may be an overdose and if you feel sedated, i would seek medical care to avoid breathing problems.  However if you have taken this amount in the past, you may be tolerant to the medication.  You may want to discuss this with your doctor who is prescribing the medications.

i have to take 1 pill 15mg of oxycodone on thursday am. my drug test is the following wed. will i pass? will it show in my blood and urine ?

No: Highly unlikely even after 72 hrs.  But I must wonder why you must take the oxycodone.

Yes: Clarithromycin can be taken together with your pain medication. Hope you feel better. Be sure to finish all of your antibiotics!!

i am going to court in the next few weeks. i may have to take a hair test.  i sometimes take up to 10 roxicodone (oxycodone) 30mg tablets for severe back pain and?

Hair test: Please tell the person administering the test about what you are taking.  If you fill out a form write it on the form.  What and when we eat and other medications impact test results.  Peace and good health.
