Possible: If the bleeding is implantation bleeding due to conception then a pregnancy test should be positive by about 10 days after ovulation. The cramping could also be normal very early in a pregnancy.  Good luck.

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &amp;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

i took a plan b the same day after having unprotected sex 4 days before ovulation. i started bleeding heavy with clots a week after taking the pill. could i be pregnant?

Plan B ?'s: Plan B contains both estrogen and progestin hormones, and will cause some withdrawal bleeding a few days after taking it, but usually not "clots".  If your period is delayed, wait about a week after it is "due" and obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy.

Pregnancy or menses: Carefully record your periods for normal periods are 21-35 days interval lasting max 8 days. Of course not "excessive" so count pads and type I.e. Maxi , lite, etc. also, new onset clot, or pain. Go to Gyn if pregnancy is suspected or you test positive urine test. Or if cycle doesn't return to normal. You will then need lab work and ultrasound besides a pelvic exam. Sometimes even cultures for std

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

Hormone Imbalance: What you are experiencing is a hormone imbalance . You need to see your provider and get worked up to see if you have a condition called pcos which would cause all the symptoms that you are describing!

i have had the skyla iud for 6 months and not had a period since; however, my bleeding during ovulation gets heavier with each month. is this normal?

Defeats purpose: The purpose of the Skyla IUD is to make women have lighter and shorter cyclical bleeding. It may cause irregular spotting/bleeding. As long as the irregular bleeding/spotting and any cyclical bleeding is perceived less bothersome than the monthly bleeding pattern without the Skyla, you have a winner. If not, you may as well have the Skyla removed and try an alternative.

Not likely: Some women have some break-through bleeding with ovulation.  It is almost always spotting rather than heavy bleeding.   If you are having heavy bleeding every 2 weeks, its most likely not ovulation but something else.  Best wishes!

Maybe not ovulation: Bleeding shortly after suspected ovulation indicates that possibly ovulation did not occur.  It could also indicate an infection, hormone imbalance or other issue.  Consider seeing an obgyn for further information
