Not in the States: Unfortunately for those of us living in States, Viagra (sildenafil) and its competitors are only available here by prescription. To make matters worse, they're only available as more expensive brands, not less expensive generics. There are no equivalent options. Best to avoid online/overseas pharmacies as there's no guarantee that you'll receive real thing. Avoid herbs &amp; dietary supplements too

Bad news but no/none: Unfortunately, there are no OTC medications w/same effect as Viagra (sildenafil). In fact, there are no cheaper generics, either. In other words, you need prescription to purchase branded Viagra or its competitors eg Cialis, Levitra, (vardenafil) Staxyn &amp; Stendra. Active ingredients are not available w/o prescription. Avoid online/overseas pharmacies as well as herbs &amp; dietary supplements - no guarantees

Same: Viagra and Sildenafil are the same medication. The first is the brand name, the second is the generic. They should both work the same. Talk to a Dr about complications and contraindications before starting use. HealthTap does not prescribe ED meds on its Video Consult platform.

No: There is no form of viagra (sildenafil) that is available without a prescription, nor should he take viagra (sildenafil) without discussing it with his physician. Every drug has side effects that can be dangerous in people with specific medical histories. Viagra (sildenafil) is not a simple drug to enhance normal sexual performance. It is medical therapy for erectile dysfunction. His doctor can determine if it is appropriate for him.

No: Nothing similar is available over the counter. There are different medications available besides viagra, (sildenafil) but they are not cheap either.

: I think answered your previous question. You need to see your primary doctor for a basic endocrinology work up even your testosterone level is normal. I think you already ruled out other conditions such as stress, depression, relationship issue, etc. as noted in the previous answer.

None that work: There are no otc pills or supplements that do what viagra, (sildenafil) etc. Can do -- otherwise they would be prescription medication. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.

is it ok to continue taking metformin even if i don't have polycystic ovaries anymore? is it true it counters the effect of otc pills (weight gain)

Yes: If you have Insulin resistance or even diabetes metformin is fine to take.  Some people have lost weight on metformin, perhaps due to GI side effects.  I haven't heard that it can interfere with diet pills but those can be dangerous on their own.

Not everyone: Doesn't help females. Only helps males w/erectile dysfunction. Don't take if you have cardiac disease, etc. Don't take with certain other medication such as Alpha blockers (given for high blood pressure and/or prostate problems). Check w/your doctor. There are some side effects as well.
