Fluconozale tablets nearly always cure the infection. 
For you and your husband. Both should be treated. Actually I think 100mgs daily for five days should do the trick. No sex until the treatment is finished.

Hard to say: As a site based in the USA we have little knowledge of what is available over the counter in your country. If there are anti-fungal creams/lotions available you could find out from the pharmacist .

Tips + Rx: If you have thrush you can rinse your mouth with warm salt water. Use a soft toothbrush on your teeth. Consider taking probiotics like lactobacillus acidophilus.  You can also drink kefir or eat  yogurts that have live probiotic cultures.  Avoid eating excessive sugar. See your physician for prescription antifungal medication.

Not as well.: There are some over-the-counter remedies, but no guarantee that they will work as well.You can try rinsing with a baking soda solution, salt water,cider vinegar or hydrogen peroxide. However these are not good options if you are treating a baby. Gentian violet is also another option, but is a bit messy. As with any meds, please discuss with your doctor.

i am on dose 2 of macrobid for uti &making my oral thrush worse. i am waiting to see id for thrush treatment but appt is 1 mth - do i stop macrobid?

Maybe: If your urinary tract symptoms are still present, then you need to continue the macrobid. However, macrobid rarely causes thrush. If you truly have thrush, there may be another cause. You should see your PCP or try to move your appointment up or see a different ID doctor.

Oregano oil/tea: This is certainly "safe", even in pregnancy, but it is not a good treatment for oral thrush.  See your family physician for an exam and more efficient treatment for thrush.

Peds: 2 weeks should be ample time for treatment for thrush. If not any better it is time to be rechecked by the doctor.

i'm a 67-year-old female being treated for oral thrush with 100 mg fluconazole once a day for fifteen days. i'm scheduled for si joint steroid injections next week. will one treatment prevent me from having the other?

: SI joint injection with steroid may increase the risk of oral thrush but you are taking fluconazole so it should cover it. Most cases of oral thrush can be taken care with local medications so I wonder why you need this relatively long course of fluconazole. Are you immunocompromised?
