Changes in weight: Cryselle and ortho cyclen can both result in decrease or increase in weight. Both contain Estradiol , though slightly higher in ortho-cyclen. Both also contain progestins, and are monophasic agents.To reduce weight gain , increase physical activity /reduce caloric intake ( reduce portion size) reduce fatty foods, increase veggies/ fruits, always remember to practice safe sex .Use condoms. Stay safe.

Then consider visiting a nutritionist to see if some simple changes in your diet could add high caloric density foods to replace lesser ones. Is your weight: unhealthy? If yes, Eat healthfully. Try to eat at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 of fruit per day. Increase nutritional fiber.  Avoid refined sugar &amp; junk carbohydrates.  Avoid alcohol, sweetened juices, soda &amp; caffeinated beverages.  Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must &gt; calories consumed.  Do both cardio &amp; weight training.
