keep seeing orange flashes at the right side of my eye when the lights are off what is this?

Flashing lights: Flashing lights can be a sign of retinal detachment.  The retina is like the film in the camera and is found in the back of the eye.  When forces tug on the retina it can cause flashing light.  That tugging can also pull a hole in the tissue allowing it to become detached.  I suggest that anyone with flashing lights, especially if followed by showers of floaters should see an eye doctor right away.

i was lying in bed with my phone above me then i saw a faint orange/black flash of line directly across my vision this is the first time.is it serious? i recently ate alot of sugar,i have, floaters, astigmatism, anisometropia.stress,7 hours of sleep?

: One episode of abnormal color is not a cause for concern. If you phone was on, it could have been due to a colored image on the screen. If the symptom recurs, consult your doctor.

i see flashes at night when im tired. sometimes i would see orange&black strips of flashes by looking around, and sometimes it would be white. it seems to worsen when im really tired. is this a sign of eye cancer?

: The condition you are describing is called 'photopsia' or the appearance of sparks or flashes.  It is very common in people over 60 as age related changes occur inside the eye. However, anyone who is extremely nearsighted is also susceptible, even in childhood.  It should be assumed that anyone with photopsia has a retinal tear and requires a thorough, dilated exam of the peripheral retina.

Maybe!: Type 2 diabetes is a disorder in sugar metabolism.  Oranges have a lot of natural sugars, which you would think fruit is good for you.  But, if you have a disorder of sugar metabolism, it is not good.  However, if your diabetes is mild and under good control, you may be able to have an orange (or 1/2 an orange).  It also may be better to balance it with some protein at the same time.
