Meds and therapy: Have you had good therapy to address any underlying issues or things which happened before or during your period of drug use?  Is your dose of medication at the right level?  Too high or side effects might make you feel off too, or if there are other issues like anxiety or depression.  It sounds like the constipation could be related to medication.  You should get a good reassessment.

Be careful: I do not know a lot about ibogaine treatment, but I do know that it is not conventional.  It does not make sense to me that it would work as it does not affect the main receptors in the brain responsible for opioid dependence.  It does affect other receptors which are pain related receptors (nmda), but not the mu or delta receptors which Suboxone does effect.

Academic program: Treating pain in people who have had problems with opioids usually requires a referral center pain program which can 1) use procedures, such as nerve blocks, facet blocks and other techniques (TENS units etc) 2) use other medications, like anticonvulsants and certain cardiac meds that can also reduce pain and 3) help with a pain psychologist to assist you in managing pain through your own ability.

Impossible to say: depends on the kind of pain, on your specific history, and what has, or hasn't worked (or been tried) in the past. I strongly recommend that anyone with addiction history get pain management from a pain clinic which has a multidisciplinary staff (including anesthesiologists, internists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and addiction specialists), usually at a referral center.

Unlikely: Small dose of a necessary pain medicine for a short period of time is unlikely to cause addiction. Make sure you consult your MD before, during and after, especially if you notice you are taking more than you should
