Primary Care Physici: This is what primary care physicians do.  Can be a family doctor, internal medicine doctor or gynecologist.  You might also ask for copies of all labs and notes and keep your own separate record on your computer.  There are plenty of programs to organize these records; but scanning as pdf and saving in a single file on your computer should work well.

Obgyn Psych evalatio: Your Obgyn and Psychiatrist will need to work together to manage your bipolar disorder and determine which medications best control you bipolar and balance that with the theoretical risk of fetal medication exposure

i had a crp lab test done. one of my medications i take is an anti inflammatory (meloxicam). my question is, will the meloxicam affect the results?

Unlikely: CRP as a test has limited value. Why did you do this test in the first place???. Your doctor who ordered this test can advise you better.

if someone took only 2.5mg of oxycodone, how quickly would it be present in a urine drug screen? how long would a person test positive if they only took that one dose? i just did a pre-employment drug screen and forgot that i took my rx medication?

: The drug can be tested  positive  in urine       from      2-4 days, depending on the amount. A blood test, 24 hours, a saliva test,1-2 days, and a hair follicle, up to 3 months. Bring RX to show if needed.

ggt went from 58 to 88 in one year all other liver test ast,alt ,bilburin,albu,globulin,all normal could new medication i take ritrovil cause this ?

Not common: Retrovil is associated rarely with elevated ALT's and clinical liver disease, so it makes an isolated elevation in GGT from this medication less likely.  Remember alcohol consumption can also cause an elevated GGT.  Is there a reason why you are having GGT's checked if all your all liver function tests are normal?

2 days back, 1 yr old accidentally got wet in rain and cold breeze, he got fever with chills, which is subsiding after paracetamol medication. later recurring. it doesn't seem to be flu. should i wait for one more day or take blood test. suggestions?

: Most kids that age get self healing viruses many times/yr. I expect them to last at least 3 days if not longer. If his activities spook you have him seen. I rarely do blood tests when evaluating kids that age. If he is feeding well/playing often &amp; otherwise pretty normal just monitor at home.

an er doctor gave me a metropolol injection for heart rate when i came in complaining of chest pains, all my test came out good. he gave me a prescription. if i decide not to use medication after one time use i will not experience any heart issues?

: Follow up as outpatient with a cardiologist or primary care doc is recommended along with taking meds as prescribed. Chances are that the condition will come back if no changes made and recommendations followed.

i have taken 2 separate hair follicle test for new jobs both test came back positive for meth i have been clean for over 5 months. could one of these medications cause it? diphenhydramine reglan tordol zofran losartan?

: One detailed study showed that chronic meth use can be found in hair tests up to 153 days after being stopped. As for false positives with those meds listed,your pharmacist will possibly have that information but I'm dubious that they would test positive.

is it possible to get a yeast infection if you've had a vagina one, and may have touched your eyes without thinking to wash hands after applying medication? i can't decide if severe random allergies or eye infection. no puss. just red and extremely itchy.

Accepted Answer

Unlikely: You likely have allergic conjunctivitis especially if you have nasal symptoms as well and the symptoms are seasonal in nature. Try antihistamine eye drop. If not helpful, consider an allergy consult.

would one hit of weed show up on a drug test?

Accepted Answer

Not usually: Usually that's not enough to get a substantial amount in your urine and trigger a urine screen for cannibinoids.If you did it frequently, maybe it would show up positive. It's hard to know exactly what you mean by a "hit" and there are a lot of other relevant variables, but the short answer is "not usually".
