i've been bleeding for over 7 weeks after giving birth it seemed to slow down initially after 4 weeks then it got heavy. is this normal? or my period?

Your body: is responding normally to not having normal hormonal balance for 10 months.  Sometimes this can lead to irregular bleeding during or in between periods for a few months before you become regular again.  If you are  trying to get pregnant (just IF), then you will need to wait for your periods to be regular.  If not, then just ride it out.  If it persists beyond 3-4 months, go see a healthcare pro.

You cant : Bleeding patterns on the contraceptive implant like Nexplanon are unpredictable and there is not an effective way of altering the pattern.

Menstrual bleeding ?: Bleeding for "15 days" needs to be evaluated by your physician.  If pregnancy is possible, get a serum HCG test to be certain, and if positive, see your gyn physician immediately. A pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic_) needs immediate attention, and can cause this kind of bleeding.
