A member asked:

I've been bleeding for over 7 weeks after giving birth it seemed to slow down initially after 4 weeks then it got heavy. is this normal? or my period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your body: is responding normally to not having normal hormonal balance for 10 months. Sometimes this can lead to irregular bleeding during or in between periods for a few months before you become regular again. If you are trying to get pregnant (just IF), then you will need to wait for your periods to be regular. If not, then just ride it out. If it persists beyond 3-4 months, go see a healthcare pro.
