I don't think : There's otc cream to stop bleeding. Applying pressure and ice packs should do the trick. Eating green leafy vegetables may help.If the bleeding is unusually prolonged, get checked for bleeding disorder. Stop taking Aspirin and nsaids. Take care!

blood blister on inner bottom lip for 2 years. recently popped and will not stop bleeding, i have used all home remedies, and i have used dynexan ointment. it bloods alot and wont stop. what should i do?

See a Dr.: See your Dr or a Dr at an urgent care facility. This bleeding is probably caused by a blood vessel that just needs to be cauterized. It is a simple procedure with minimal risk and can be completed in a matter of minutes.

i got bit by my 6 week old guinea pig on my finger tip. i got the bleeding to stop and cleaned it and put antibiotic ointment on it. i now have it covered with a band aid. do i need to see a doctor or worry about tetnus or rabies?

: Pet Guinea pigs with no exposure to the wild are not a listed risk for rabies. If you have not had a tetanus booster within 10 years, getting one is a good idea to get one within a few days. This exposure is not high risk for tetanus, but it is an opportunity to get current.

my external hemorrhoid bleeds slightly but it doesn't hurt during bowel movement so i dont use stool softeners. it just stings when i apply the ointment. it's been there for around 5 days now. how do i get the bleeding to stop?

: Sitting less and for shorter time helps to lessen the engorgement of a hemorrhoid.  Stool softeners "lubricate" the stool, while fiber helps to bulk-up the stool to retain water and encourage better propulsion through the GI system.  Bleeding is common with engorgement, straining to defecate and wiping too aggressively with rough paper.  Use soft paper and clean gently to avoid bleeding.

accidentally cut myself while shaving, will mupirocin ointment usp 2% be good to use? it was bleeding out a lot, i washed it and put a bandaid on it, but should i use the ointment? if not, what should i do?

: If there is a wound, you may apply triple antibiotic cream. If you were shaving your genitals, quit doing that, it is not hygienic.

i cut my pinky finger about 7 hours ago with a dull knife. it stopped bleeding, but it reopened when i took off the gauze, and it bled again like when i first cut it. i put another bandaid on with ointment. how long should i keep my bandage on?

Bleeding: Usually the body does its function. Platelet in a few minutes to stop the bleeding. 
You can squeeze the area most likely, if a lot of blood comes out you cut an artery so it may still bleed if I keep bleeding I recommend going to your doctor to stitch or cauterize the affected area

: It should be okay. If you develop a discharge, it would require additional attention.

Contact dermatitis?: Need to rule out irritant, mechanical or allergic contact reaction.  This could involve the ointments or the retainer.  Just a starting point...

my dog bit me. its like a scratch not too deep but it was bleeding. i rinsed & put antibiotic ointment. should i see a doctor? chances of getting capnocytophaga? i know its rare but some people still died from it.
