toilet water looks oily when poop, my poop comes out smooth, i have no symptoms of malabsorption, there's no smell when i go and i haven't lost any weight, the poop is regular color, i eat very healthy and i have healthy oils in my food. i'm skinny?

Many causes: Common causes of oily stool include Pancreatitis, gall bladder problems, and hepatitis C. Regardless of how healthy your diet and weight are, a diet high in oils will result in oily stool. Try cutting back on the amount of oils in your diet. Certain dietary supplements and medications can also cause oily stool. If you are taking orlistat or fish/ essential oils, this can show up in your stool.

Poop: It can be a sign of food poisoning or if you've eaten potato chips with olestra or if taking dietary supplement which blocks absorption of fat.

: He may have developed an infection. The oily stool is also associated w fat malabsorption. Discuss w your Pediatrician whether he has been adequately screened for CF. If he is otherwise healthy, gaining weight, monitor temperature, discuss COVID 19 testing and please follow up with your Pediatrician.

: It's not clear what you mean. Are you referring to mucus or white fluid from your penis during bowel movements? This occurs normally from time to time, due to stool passing over the prostate gland and seminal vesicles. If no mucus or other discharge at other times and no pain on urination, probably nothing is wrong. But see a doctor (e.g. a urologist) if it continues or you remain concerned.

Consider diet: changes.  In order to feel good and have regular normal bowel movements, you should eat a diet including lots of water, and fresh fruits and vegetables, and low in fat.  Eating small amounts frequently, including small amounts of low fat protein, can help stabilize blood sugars and decrease feelings of fatigue and irritability.  Hope you feel better.

You may need an ultrasound of your abdomen as well as other tests. You may need digestive enzymes.

what foods cause orange oily fat in stool?

Fatty Foods.: Not normal to have orange oily fat in stools.  Body usually absorbs 100% of fats consumed.  There is something wrong, either medications like 'orlistat' or Alli, or deficiencies of enzymes are causing this.  Sometimes a parasitic infection can cause this.  See your doctor about it.

Yes: You can have carbohydrate malabsorption  like lactose intolerance/sucrose intolerance and can have normal Albumin & no oily stools.

Accepted Answer

Yes, bile: flow might be altered after cholecystectomy, and change appearance of your stool.  Oily stool, or steatorrhea, is typically caused by pancreatic insufficiency, not by cholecystectomy.  Bring this to your doctor's attention, so proper tests can be done.

my 7 year old just had a stool with orange oily drops but said there was no pain. should i take to his dr. or wait to see if it continues?

Wait and see: this may be of no significance. If the problem persist you may want to see his pediatrician and it will be unlikely to recur
