According to lactmed: No data exist on the excretion of any components of oregano into breastmilk or on the safety and efficacy of oregano in nursing mothers or infants.

Not quite sure.: I didn't understand "can oil pulling"?  However, the interesting thing about ingesting coconut oil is that it is touted to be a remedy for sore throats but other people report developing a sore throat after taking in coconut oil.

Then don't use it: Then don't take olive oil.

No : If you're allergic to peanuts you're allergic to whatever brand or form of peanuts you use. Some :organic" brands may have other ingredients or substances (such as pollens) that are causing your symptoms.  Try to stick with brands and forms you have used that were tolerated.

i get a sore throat right after eating at some chinese restaurants, the oil they use have a smell to it. could i be allergic to the oil and hot sauce? my throat hurt after eating nuts & chocolate too.

Yes you could.: This sounds like a food sensitivity, not a true allergy of you have no itching or swelling.  The two most likely ingredients that come to mind that you may be sensitive to are peanut oil, or msg, which is a flavor enhancer often used in chinese cooking. Peanut oil and sauce is also another common ingredient in chinese cuisine.
Next time when you order ask for "no msg" and no peanut products.

May be reflux: Of acidic stomach contents. Fatty foods, coffee, chocolate, a bunch of meds, large meals, lying down or bending over after eating, pepiermint, chamomile can all increase reflux into esophagus. Can go all the way up to the throat in some people.

3 days ago, i was eating and hot oil shot down my throat. within 20 mins, my throat was irritated and the next day, i was horse with a sore throat. now i have a persistent, dry cough. is this a part of the healing process? i have no fever or mucus?

Hard candy may help.: The cough is a symptom and unlikely to be part of healing process. It is expression of irritation. It is good you are okay but you could  try hard candy, some have honey or menthol, that may relieve the symptoms for you and allow the destroyed epithelial cells to heal in time.

OK, and....: This is very little information to go on, but if you think you're getting a cold/flu, you may want to go out and get zinc lozenges, since zinc has been proven to inhibit the attachment of adenovirus to the throat early on in the course of disease.  Drink plenty of fluids, keep warm, and take vitamin c.  If this fails, see the doctor.

Sore throat.: Almost certainly virus which will get better in 2 weeks if you take antibiotics or 14 days if you do not. Gargle with salt water. Vicks Cough drops are good.

Really cold yogurt : May feel soothing. If you have a significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see your medical provider & get a strep throat test & culture. Saltwater gargles are very helpful. Mix a teaspoon of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle with this several times a day. You can gargle with aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mixture of chamomile tea with honey & a small amount of &gt;.
