are there certain types of food that people with ocd should avoid?

No -- can eat all: People with ocd may avoid certain foods because of their illness -- but can realistically eat any food they wish. Sometimes people with ocd have obsessive thoughts about particular foods, compulsively check any seeming irregularity/discoloration, or have eating rituals that must be followed precisely. It can take a long time to eat a meal, and there might not be much enjoyment.

Avoid sugary foods: Eat a wholesome diet, but avoid sugary carbohydrates such as cakes, pies and pastries.

my ocd/panic gets triggered whenever i see my front neighbours clothes hanging outside near my car n i always have to pass by them to get to my car. as they hang them daily, i try not to go out as to avoid panic/ocd. i need treatment or is it normal?

i recovered from ocd 4 years ago (cbt + meds), and overcame some lapses till now. what is the relapse rate? can i avoid a relapse?

OCD: Congrats on your recovery from OCD.  I don't have relapse stats in front of me but do know you have it w/in your to keep from relapse w/a 4 year history of doing well.  Consider a re-visit to your therapist to dust off your CBT skills a bit.  Some self-help can be found w/and app called nOCD.  Peace and good health.

i was demon possessed in the past. i believe in demonic possession, and it controls my life. i avoid people. could this be schizophrenia, or ocd?

A Public Policy : Polling of October, 2012, showed that 63% of Americans age 18-29 believe that non-corporeal "demons" can  take partial or total control of human beings. Many movies &amp; TV series aimed at this age group reinforce this belief &amp; it's accepted in some religions. It can also be a sign of mental illness. Since it interferes with your daily functioning, seek referral to a mental health professional.

is it common for ocd/hypochondriac to frequently promise g-d about avoiding things i consider "dangerous" even though no allergies, etc? i panic too.

OCD: can manifest in many ways, and fears related to the future or God are common.  Please see your doctor for treatment and a good therapist.  An old but good book is called "The Boy who Couldn't Stop Washing" by Rappaport.  Peace and good health.

what is the best ssri to use to avoid weight gain and maintain my personality  yet help negative intrusive thoughts from ocd?.

Talk w/your doctor: Talk with your doctor about this, but Lexapro (escitalopram) is probably the most weight-neutral of the ssri's.  Zoloft maybe, also (though i've seen weight gain with it as well.).

pls can u help advice me, if  citalopram is better for ocd or escitalopram?  though i heard both cause stomach  trouble and any way to avoid it, thanks

About same: There is some evidence that escitalopram may have fewer side effects, but efficacy is about the same.

i know there is controversy regarding use of ssri/snri in bipolar 2 but if ocd is highly prevalent how can the use of one be avoided.cbt is also used?

Yes, CBT for sure: Cbt is a very well-researched and useful part of treatment for ocd.  Other-than-ssri medications may be used, and you may still be able to use ssri's.  However,  you need to work with a skilled psychiatrist who keeps up with the most recent psychopharmacological treatments. http://ocd.stanford.edu/treatment/pharma.html.

if i have ocd/i worry often about if theres germs on my hands/arms/my clothes, should i avoid going on a trip and staying in a hotel because im worried about spreading germs?
