Dangerous. : Nyquil has a good amount of alcohol in it and you should not mix xanax (alprazolam) with alcohol. At best, you will be very sleepy. At worst, you could stop breathing and die.

OTC cold med: Nyquil contains doxylamine, an antihistamine which is sedating . It will interact with Xanax (alprazolam) still in your system to increase drowsiness and may cause dizziness. Ask your pcp or pharmacist to recommend a cold med with a non-sedating antihistamine which is safer. Hope this helps.

Doses matter: Doses matter.  Small amounts, you should be fine.  But  large enough doses can kill you.  You need to be honest and give exact amounts here if you want your question to be answered better. Bigger question, why did you do this?  Were you trying to hurt yourself?  By asking the question, you know this was not a good idea. This issue needs to be explored with a professional.

Nyquil c interaction: There are a number of different types of Vicks Nyquil Cold and Flu preparations. I checked possible interactions for the "severe cold and flu " type. Large dose: the largest alprazolam (xanax) tablet is 2 mg, and that is already a high dose, so I don't know exactly what you are taking, or why it was prescribed.  Xanax is generally given initially as 0.5 or even 0.25 mg three or four times daily, and a common dose might be 1 mg three times a day.  NyQuill is meant for cough, and to treat fever aspirin, acetaminophen or motrin works best &amp; is ok with xanax.

Not recommended: Nyquil is risky w/ both the other drugs. Risks high BP w/ Adderall and can cause confusion, dizziness, etc w/ Xanax (alprazolam). W/o a Rx, you ought not take Adderall anyway. These are serious drugs, be careful. Your body is a valuable possession, take care of it! Be well!
