Ankle: RICE is the appropriate therapy and an NSAID.  According to the Ottowa Ankle Rules though if you can not bear weight it may be more than a sprain.  If so, it may be worth getting an XRAY.

Many possibilities: Foot pain could be as a result of many different things. A thorough history and physical exam and possibly some laboratory and radiology exams are needed to determine the exact cause. Causes of pain may include: trauma (fracture, sprain, arthritis), infection, metabolic conditions (gout), musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality and neurologic conditions (neuropathy).

Vitamins & minerals: Vitamin B12 is a tricky one, you may not be absorbing *oral* B12 well after partial gastrectomy. Copper or vitamin b6 deficiency may mimic B12 deficiency. Finally, too rapid weight loss or deficiency of multiple factors at once can cause mononeuritis. Get checked by your neurologist, and good luck!

Foot pain : Your foot type, is it a “flat foot “ little arch?  This could be from an unstable calcanus- cuboid joint. The diagnosis is made clinically. Cannot see on X-rays.  One easy test which seems to hold true is to make a circular motion to both feet and in counter- clockwise and clockwise. Limited range of motion is noted on pathological foot.   The high heels supinate the foot, stabilizing the joint.

Sprain: Depending on the severity of the sprain it can take anywhere from 1-3 months for the injury to heal. I normally tape my patients once a week for 4-6 weeks and place them on an nsaid, i.e. Advil, (ibuprofen) etc to help reduce pain and swelling. Elevate the ankle as much as possible to reduce swelling. I also do hiss manipulation to re adjust the bones back into position.

Foot pain: When pain progresses and doesn't respond to RICE . You should be seen for an X-ray and evaluation

Leg & foot pain: Unlikely related to new rice. That would certainly be an odd food allergic response. Check with pcp for sciatic or referred nerve pain.

Usually it is: Wrapped with an ace bandage or the likes, perhaps an unna boot. Keep in mind a hospital is for emergencies. A sprained ankle for the most part can be seen by your local podiatrist or orthopedist.

Vibration Feeling: This is just a description of the sensation and could be from a circulation problem or a nerve problem.
It could also be from nothing none and many patients have this without any underlying condition.
Have a good neurological exam from your gp or from a neurologist.
