Have you: Changed toothpastes recently?   Possible that you might be allergic to certain preservatives / foods / ingredients.  Recommend seeing your dentist or pcp for an evaluation.  Hope this helps.

Side effects: Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant and can have a host of side effects on your body. If not metabolized fully, it can result in toxins being released and can have short term effects such as these.  You may be more sensitive to this than others. Quit alcohol: Alcohol is a poison and it never did any body any good, ever, so quit drinking.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

i have numbness and pain in my kidneys. could this be a sign of drinking too much? the feeling has just been brought about with alcohol withdrawls.

Alcohol withdrawl: and kidney pain.  Two things going on.  It is important to see your doc to supervise your withdrawing.  He/she may also do tests to determine the health of your kidneys.  Congratulations on dealing w/you alcohol use.  The sooner you catch it the better the rest of your life and health and those you love will be.  Peace andgood health.

Alcohol neuropathy: High amounts of alcohol are toxic; by binge drinking you are poisoning yourself- it can even be fatal. Usually this occurs in the arms and legs but can happen in the cheeks. B vitamins can help but may not totally protect you. Binge drinking can cause permanent brain damage, liver disease, increased cancer risk etc. Your body is giving you a very clear message to stop- if you can't, seek help!

How much drinking?: Alcohol can cause a condition called neuropathy usually described by people as numbness/tingling in the fingers/toes.  However, this occurs usually over long periods of time &amp; more than social usage. So, unless you've been using alcohol since age 3-  I doubt that's the cause. Nevertheless, there are other reasons for the symptoms in someone your age. If they persist then, you should see a doctor.

Salivary gland stone: Is the only valid explanation to your symptom , pressure build inside your sublingual salivary gland that it's duct is blocked by a stone, that in turn press on nerve endings causes the symptoms.
I would have it checked by your dentist, ct scan or ultrasound may be required ..

Numbness: Numbness and tingling in any limb likely is related to nerve compression.  This often happens when sleeping in awkward positions or sitting in awkward positions without moving much.  When relieved of that position, numbness usually resolves.  If persistent, you should see your doctor to check out other possible nerve conditions as well as possible metabolic conditions such as diabetes &amp; low B12.

Please stop drinking: Your symptoms signal a problem. How serious the problem and what organ(s) is(are) involved will be determined by appropriate medical evaluation--see your doctor. In the meantime, &amp; since you've acknowledged the problem already, please by all means stop drinking alcohol!  Your body is trying to tell you something!

So yes, stop : Drinking. Likely, you have low thiamine levels. This can be checked with bloodwork and you can take supplements. I would recommend bentothiamine as a supplement. An epidermal nerve fiber biopsy may give an indication of recovery. In some cases damage may be irreversible.
