May want evaluation: Did you experience any injury to the shoulder, arm, or upper back recently? Is there any pain with the numbness? Numbness is not generally a normal thing to have happen out of the blue or something you should have to deal with if it can be fixed. I'd get examined by your doc who may order an xray or have you consider physical therapy or give you other exercises to help.

Assess if persists: LIkely parascapular pinched nerve, due to muscle inflamation.
Seen if you work out a bit.
Spine pain, progress in symptoms, poor response to Ibuprofen, may need assessment.
Warm compresses could be tried.

Go to an ER: I don't know how long ago you were in the accident, but you should go to an er asap to see if you have a neck or spine injury. I assume you can move around some; however, you should be checked out to make sure any potential injuries do not get worse.

You may have : Notalgia paresthetica, an uncommon irritation of nerves over the mid shoulder blade, but if there is a winging this is a problem with long thoracic nerve, and if weak over shoulder may involve suprascapular nerve.  Since many possibilities, have your doc do an exam and see what is the most likely answer.

Numbness, lumps: These could be related, as a lump (nodule or mass) may cause pressure on a superficial nerve in that area.  Grinding is common with some people's joints (crepitus) and if not painful is of little concern.  If the lump and not the joint is making the grinding noise, perhaps it is time to get it checked out!

Consider these:: The numbness anatomy suggests ulnar distribution or c8-t-1, nerve compression in the neck, but this could also be seen in thoracic outlet syndrome.  Have you had some recent trauma?  Testing can reveal the diagnosis.  Doubt the stomach issues relate to the arm and shoulder problem.

Need exam: Your symptoms suggest cubital tunnel syndrome ( ulnar nerve entrapment @ elbow) but a thorough history and physical exam is required to confirm. Supraspinatus( rotator cuff) injuries can occasionally present as you describe but this would be unusual. Most RC strains or tears cause pain w/ overhead activities, difficulty sleeping on the affected shoulder and/ or weakness... Best of Luck!

Be seen: I would certainly be seen and have further testing including possibly an MRI of your cervical spine.  Your symptoms could indicate compression of your spinal cord in your spine.
