i hve buzzing in my foot, calf pain and my middle three toes are numb on left side. any ideas?

Sounds like nerve: Most likely condition would be a pinched nerve.  The nerves that supply the feet stem from nerve branches traveling from the leg.  The "pinch" could be from the back at its root, but it an also be locally due to musculature.  Another thing to be checked is circulation because if blood flow is hampered to a an area, it can cause pain and reduce function in the nerves.  Get checked properly.

Cramp: If you are referring to cramps in the calf and feet at night there are many causes, one of which is being female. Very common in females, not in men, probably hormonal. Other reasons, electrolyte imbalance, overuse, poor shoes.
Common treatment- stand on a cold floor.

These are muscle: cramps. Frequently called "charlie horse". They may represent an electrolyte abnormality or potentially vascular disease. Contact your health care provider for an evaluation and blood work.

Calf pain: Without knowing your age and history of any coexisting medical condition and family history.I will advice you see your doctoras it may be something as minor as muscle pain and as bad as a clot in your calf vein.

Consider vascular: Doppler studies are ultrasounds that can check for arterial and venous bloodflow.  The "pulsation feeling" may be an indication that a vascular problem is present.  Ask your pcp about this.  Many facilities will offer free screenings for pad (peripheral arterial disease).  If there is something noted, a vascular specialist may be consulted.

Yes: Your symptoms are very concerning for a blood clot in your leg. This can be very serious and should not wait until morning. Go to the er now where they can do a type of ultrasound on your leg to made sure there is no clot.

i've been suffering feom calf pain for about1 year.  had several dopplers done which ruled out dvt.  still have calf pain, tingling toes.  what is it?

Nerve pain: This sounds like nerve pain, especially with the tingling toes. The most common cause would be radiating symptoms from nerve irritation/compression in the lumbar spine. A nerve conduction study and a MRI of the lumbar spine would be a good start if you haven't already had these. Of course, a thorough history and repeat physical exam with a specialist should precede these tests.

my 5 yo has calf pain in both legs and unable to walk. has a bad limp and is uncomfortable. noticing his toes outward now as well. for last 4-5 days.

Have him checked: Limping associated with pain deserves a thorough evaluation.  Different pathologies  from foot to spinal cord can cause limping.

had laminectomy surgery on l/4,l/5. now have foot and calf pain. what is causing this?

Accepted Answer

Nerve root: Selective irritation of the nerve root at L4/L5.  Google "dermatomes", and you can see the nerve distribution for the lumbar nerves.  There is probably some post-surgical swelling and inflammation at the site of the surgery which is causing this.  Hopefully, it will get better over time.  Try Boswella (a powerful anti-inflammatory herb) and topical DMSO ("horse liniment") available in a feed store
