pls advise on my vision problem. i have to enlarge or shine a light on letters or numbers for me to be ablse to see them, this is not a permanent condition, comes and goes?

: Such fluctuating amblyopia warrants an examination by an ophthalmologist to check for glaucoma, optic nerve pathology,etc.

45, female. can you interpret these numbers for me. bun 22, serum creatinine is 1.17, egfr is 56, chloride is 108, ag ratio is 2.3. can dehydration cause the elevation in the numbers or should i be concerned about my kidney function?

: Labs are basically near normal, except for a lower GFR (less than normal passage of urine through the kidney), which can indicate potential damage eventually from dehydration.  Get a referral to a nephrologist for guidance, and increase your hydration with clear fluids.

i have calcium level 10.6 and pth of 124 osteopenia do i have hyperparathyroid? are those numbers too low for me to be concerned about?

: A  high calcium level normally lowers the PTH. When your serum calcium is persistently elevated ( over 10.2) and the PTH isn't below 25, then you very likely have hyperparathyroidism. An endocrinologist can evaluate &amp; advise you further.

hcg 11, 563, 5 days later 22, 516. true that doubling times increase with higher numbers? could this be ok? spoke w/nurse gave me #'s only :-(

Depends on GA: The HCG 'doubles' in the begining of pregnancy when HCG is above 2000 usually we follow up with ultrasound. A fetal heart beat should be seen at 6.5 to 7 weeks.

Pitfalls of EGFR: Egfr's are estimates, hence the "e". Its unreliability is evidenced, in your case, by the variations you've had your egfr's. .Your egfr is calculated using your age, sex, weight, serum creatinine and race. If you wish to have an accurate value of your actual gfr, have your doctor or a nephrologist order a 24 hour urine for a creatinine clearance.

Cholesterol Numbers: This would require more space that permitted here.  Please get a copy of your lipid panel results (the reference ranges are next to each number) and visit your doctor.  The total comes from the interaction of measures of various fats in your blood, some good and some not so good.  As the total moves beyond 200 docs talk about medication or lifestyle changes. Up or down: It is really depend if the numbers are going down mean your gallbladder function getting worst
if is up and down the test is not reliable
and depend on your symptoms
if the fluctuation up and down but still below 30% your gallbladder could be the problem.
