Fever?  : It's unusual to have a numb throat usually it's sore with pharyngitis. Have have you been throwing up?  Dry heaving or throwing up bile?  That can make your throat numb

Pulsation: Pulsation are often normally seen in the neck.discomfort if persistent needs to be formally evaluated.

Honey, lemon juice: Warm water mixed with a bit of lemon juice and honey works in many cases. When it doesn't, viscous xylocaine (lidocaine) syrup, diluted and gargled, is effective (prescription needed).

Your brain: Weed is a mind altering drug and just because it may be legal does not make it harmless. If you have tonsillitis you should be tested to see if it is strep throat and treated accordingly.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

what are chances of having severe reaction with lidocaine to numb nose/throat for procedure? i had novocaine before, is novocaine and lidocaine same?

Unlikley: Novocaineand lidocaine are different members of the same family of anesthetics.  There are reports of severe allergic reactions to these agents but they are very rare.  In the hands of skilled physicians these agents are considered very safe.

Yes: The spray or lozenges are fine. None will interfere with the medication.

i've been covid positive for almost over a week now. my sense of taste and smell is diminshed a bit. however, my tongue feels numb, lump in throat, mouth feels weird. are these also symtpms of covid. ive been to er few times already due to symptoms?

: Unless proven otherwise I'd regard these tongue and mouth symptoms as part of the covid infection. The medical literature does describe tongue numbness and refers to it as covid tongue. At this stage I don't think paxlovid or remdesivir treatment would be helpful. You could get your physician's opinion.about this.
