Short time: Pain and the need for pain medication is a very subjective item.  Some people need none & some need it for several weeks.  It also depends on what tendon was repaired.

Need vs dependent: If one's doctor has recommended synthroid (thyroxine) for a hypothyroid condition, it is because of a need. Occasionally one may no longer need the synthroid (thyroxine) and it can be stopped without fear of dependence. Most, however, will need it lifelong.

59yr male mitral valve repair 10yrs ago disharged cardio checkups,not on medication.near syncope 2 a yr but never fainted cardiologist said it's to do with my blood flow different to others now.had near syncope yesterday standing ,no other symptoms?

: Check seated and standing BP and BP after going up and down on toes. If drops more than 20 mm or u get dizzy call Dr.  Especially if you are taking any meds that affect blood pressure. You can look them up at Drugs.com to see if cause dizzy spells. I

Talk to your Ortho: Over the counter tylenol (acetaminophen) and anti-inflammatories can be helpful, but you should discuss your pain with the doc treating your fracture.

Ask your doctor: but generally NSAIDs like Ibuprophen are not recommended in case there is a hairline fracture in the bone around the prosthesis or elsewhere. NSAIDs can delay bone healing.

Not a 2-fer: Medications to help you sleep tend to slow the body down, and would potentially delay muscle growth and repair. Supplementing pre-/post-workout (like with whey protein shake), might help with the muscle issues. If your workout ends about 60-90 minutes before planned bed time, it may help you get to sleep--just don't work out too close to bedtime.

No: It is unlikely that fluoroquinolone you took. 7 months ago is causing side effects now . See a physician and discuss your complaints in detail. Some blood work nay also be necessary

i've had post-ssri sexual dysfunction (pssd) from taking citalopram for about two years now. is there any medication available that would enhance dopamine signalling or did i fry my dopamine circuits beyond repair?

Doubtful: How long have you been of the citalopram?  Can take upwards 6 mo sometimes to see full effect off the med.  At 38 could also be some early ED issues not related to SSRI use.  Discuss with your provider ED med trial (if no contraindications).  Hope this helps. Best of luck.  Dr R
