: Your question is incomplete. Nasal swab should be done on both sides. If it was done on both sides and only one side is congested, it could be beginning of a common cold, trauma from swabbing or even Covid 19 as the incubation period is 2-14 days.

Depends: There are different answers to this question based on how the test was done but, in general, it will take 7-14 days for the full results but you can get a 'preliminary' result in ~7-10.

Possible: Probably just sill irritated, however a safe thing to do would be to get a bacitracin or polysporin cream and place in the nostril 2 or 3 times per day. The ointment will protect the area and help the irritation to heal if you do have an infection it would be the best first thing to do! Hope that helps!

Accurate if positive: If a nasal swab flu test is positive, it is a very reliable result. The swab is nasopharyngeal, meaning the swab goes to the back of the nose to get a mucus sample. If it is negative, it is only somewhat reliable, which means a person with a negative result may still have influenza. A rough estimate is that 1 out of 4 people with cold or flu symptoms, who test negative, actually do have influenza.
