Dry, cold air: Dry, cold winter air dries out the tissue of your nasal cavities and that causes the vessels to break and bleed more easily. Try a saline nasal spay several times a day. This may help.  Arm &amp; Hammer makes a good one.  Should be able to find it in most pharmacies.

One option: 1 function of the nose is to warm cold air before it moves to the lungs. Capillaries in the nose dilate to bring warm blood to the nares. As these tissues fill with blood the nose becomes congested. Any air that makes it to the lungs that is still cold can trigger release of histamines & cause bronchospasm. Recommend wearing a scarf on other clothing article that can be placed over nose/ mouth.

Virus: Do you have a fever or any other symptoms?
Most likely you have a virus or allergy.

Drink plenty of fluids, drink bone broth/chicken soup, get plenty of rest. Consult with us if you do not get better with this or if you have a fever.

Cold persistent : You cold has been persistent for 2 weeks and it involves breathing.  I think you should see your family doctor of the one how prescribes the humilin for you if you can see them .  I think you need a chest X-ray .  If you are coughing colored secretions, you will need antibiotics.  See the doctor on Monday or Tuesday.  You will be feeling better by the first of the year. Not quite, but: A quarter of all blood flow goes to the brain, so the head definitely is a place where significant heat transfer can take place.  Wearing a hat in the cold will prevent a significant amount of heat loss.

: Two possibilities come to mind with these somewhat vague symptoms. One is a paranasal sinusitis and the other is a manifestation of anxiety or tension. If symptoms persist, testing would be a CT scan of the paranasal sinuses and a consultation with a neurologist if no sinus pathology is found. Stress management therapy is helpful in relieving anxiety and tension if it's the problem.

Probably not: It seems you are having excessive sensitivity of your scalp. Let your physician examine your scalp. Often a skin condition like seborrhea can make skin excessively sensitive.

Dryness or cold sens: Cold air doesn't  hold as much moisture and can be irritating especially if the nose is already dry which it is this time of year which is why it's better when it's covered.  Suggest drops of sesame oil several times daily especially in the winter.  It is a great moisturizer.  Consider nasal steroid if oil doesn't work.

Needs evaluation: By a doctor .  You can have a serious head trauma without being knocked out. You could even have a slow bleed inside your head so it is serious!! Get help. Go to the ER!!

every so often i get like a heat flash over my body my stomach and chest burn, i feel like fainting but dont, i get cold air and it goes away i get anxiety and in my head bad could this be anxiety or something more serious?

: Before we ascribe these episodes to anxiety I'd recommend that you have an evaluation by an endocrinologist to rule out conditions where abnormal amounts of certain hormones can be released by pathology in adrenal glands or abnormal variations in female hormone levels.
