Dryness or cold sens: Cold air doesn't hold as much moisture and can be irritating especially if the nose is already dry which it is this time of year which is why it's better when it's covered. Suggest drops of sesame oil several times daily especially in the winter. It is a great moisturizer. Consider nasal steroid if oil doesn't work.
