I assume you're not taking any diabetic medications. If you do you may have to reduce the dose before vigorous exercise, but you should discuss this with your physician first.

Yes, but . . .: Post-prandial (after meal) blood sugar should not be greater than 200mg/dL, even if you/he feel(s) nothing. While not an emergency, it's best that he see his Family Doc as soon as possible to discuss nutrition &amp; medication adjustment. Because he can always out eat any medication we prescribe, it's always best to start w/nutrition 1st. If sugars normally under control, then look 4 hidden infection
