hello! i have been diagnosed with ist, having a resting heart rate around 90-95bpm and also with aortic bicuspidy, for now with a normal root aortic diameter. is it safe to do intense cardio exercises that increase my heart rate around 170bpm?

By echocardiogram?: The 'normal range' of aortic root diameters varies based on (1) the modality used (most commonly used is ultrasound / echocardiogram) and (2) your height. The usual upper estimate is 2.1 cm/m of height. For someone who is 73 in tall (such as yourself), that translates to an upper limit of 3.8 cm, which is exactly what is measured in your case. Not necessarily.: There is a significant difference is the average size of the female abdominal aorta versus the male aorta.
The average size of the female is about  1.8-2.5 cm, 
and the average size of the male aorta is higher.
If the distal vessels, going to the legs are of normal 
size and caliber, and the patient is female-there is no concern.  If male, then a better look at the walls
of the aorta, is needed.

Unknown: If abnormality seen, it would be reported. It also depends on what type of study this was reported on. Echocardiogram and ct scan are the most common studies where the ascending aorta is seen and reported. Ct is a better study at accurately measuring the aorta.

: You should have the doc who knows all the facets of your case to reflect on its' meaning. That said the ejection fraction is not worrisome.

can you have marfan's and your aorta is normal and never gets bigger ?

Marfan: It probably happens but can't remember ever seeing a patient without some aortic dilation.
