Wow: that is quite unusually bad. Congenital bone problems (familial ricketts) or liver or kidney disease, abnormality of minerals abnormal hormones (hyperparathyroidism) or other secondary cause would be reasonable to look into. In which case, yes, could be cured.

If it continues to be painful follow up with your physician because i know of one case where this was assumed to be a benign cyst and it turned out to be metasitized cancer. Some have to have a rod placed down the bone, some are plated, some are casted (pending age) and some are even more complicated.  Bone heals in 4-6 weeks.  Femur fractures may take longer.  It may be shorter.  Discuss with your orthopedist and stay in close contact and communication.  "break a leg" and heal fast".
