Depends: Femur fractures can be difficult. Depends on age and type and location of fracture. Some have to have a rod placed down the bone, some are plated, some are casted (pending age) and some are even more complicated. Bone heals in 4-6 weeks. Femur fractures may take longer. It may be shorter. Discuss with your orthopedist and stay in close contact and communication. "break a leg" and heal fast".
