We have to see it: We can't tell you what that is until we see the rashes. The most common itchy rash at your age group in the us and during the winter is eczema. You might try to use more moisturizer. You should go see a local doctor if it persists.

Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin.  Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Photo?: To diagnose you correctly, i would need to see the "bumps", and have more history.  Any fever or sweats? Any history of allergies? Joint pains? Recent antibiotic use? Recent trip to the dentist? Family history of connective tissue disorders or autoimmune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, or thyroid disease)?  Are any of these bumps painful?

: "Itchy red bumps" can be what is called a "delayed hypersensitivity" reaction to exposure to detergents, even if you have used the same detergent for years.  The areas affected tend to be those of direct contact on bedclothes, and contact is often dependent on areas of perspiration during sleep. "Tide" detergent is a common cause. Try Ivory Snow, or increase rinse cycle on washing machine.

Not that smart: I can tell you what they're not but not what they are. They are not hives. Hives itch. With rashes a picture is worth a 1000 words. Please see an experienced clinician - that is someone who has seen a lot of rashes - the diagnosis is often obvious with a single look. What could it be? Viral infection, insect bites, drug reaction - to name a few.
